As part of the NHS Long Term Plan that was published in 2019, there is a commitment to expand personal health budgets; this includes personal wheelchair budgets. It is important that people are able to share their experiences of these budgets, starting right from the first conversation, to  provide insight into the the process, allowing for improvement and deveolopment going forward into the future.

Everyone who has had a personal health budget, intergrated personal budget or personal wheelchair budget, historical or current, are welcome to share feedback of their personal experiences. People who contributed to the 2018 surveyare also encouraged to participate again in the new survey for this year.

Please be aware that the survey closes on the 14th May 2019.

The first week of April is dedicated to raising awareness for autism. Autism affects 1 in 100 people, which means there are around 700,000 adults and children with autism across the UK. 70% of these people do not feel like that are getting the help they need in their daily lives. Due to the fact it is a largely hidden disability, autism often struggles to get the recognition it deserves.

Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions, often characterised by challenges to social skills, repetitive behaviour, speech anfd nonverbal communication. People with autism all share certain difficulties, being autistic will affect them in different ways. Some people with autism also have learning difficulties, mental health issues and other medical conditions, meaning some people require more support than others.

Today we held our bi-annual Head Office Team Meeting which was a celebration of the company and it's development on our 8th birthday. The Directors recognised and thanked the team for their commitment and hard work.

We also spent time listening to team updates from Business Development, Finance, Payroll, Admin, Third Party and Direct Payments to allow us all to understand each others work, the challenges each department face and the future focus areas.

Thank you to all the team for their preparation, we hope you all found it beneficial. We apologise to any inconvenience to anyone trying to contact us during this short closure.

We then celebrated 8 busy and successsul years with a buffet lunch and birthday cake!

Congratulations also to Helen Brown, Business Manager and Emily Dennett, Operations Manager, who celebrate 7 years service with the company this week.
