Rather than exchange Christmas cards with each other here in the Solo head office, we have each used the money we would have spent to buy tinned and non perishable food as well as toiletries to donate to the Friary Drop In Centre, a local organisation who help the homeless and those less fortunate within our local community. The organisation were very grateful for our donations.

Today was National Christmas Jumper Day, and here at Solo we're keeping up with tradition and wearing our Christmas Jumpers!

Although, National Christmas Jumper Day isn't just for fun... It's held to raise money for Save the Children. Every year, millions of children around the world die before their fifth birthday from easily preventable diseases like malaria, diarrhoea and pneumonia. Wearing a Christmas Jumper and donating just £2.00 could save a child's life.

We are now approaching the end of October and the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Today workplaces, schools and homes across the nation are wearing pink to help raise money for life saving research. Wear It Pink is a great chance to get involved and do your bit for breast cancer research.

This awareness and fundraising day was created by the charity Breast Cancer Now. They believe they can stop women dying from breast cancer by 2050, making sure they fund the most inpactful research. Right now, Breast Cancer Now support almost 400 researchers and are funding 105 research grants worth over £26 million at over 30 institutions across the UK and Ireland.

We loved wearing in pink and support this amazing charity!

Don't forget - you can donate all year round an be sure to Wear It Pink next year. You can hold your own event, or join in with your workplace or school.

Have fun, think pink and raise money for breast cancer research!
