National Epilepsy Week

Last week was National Epilepsy Week. Approximately 500,000 people in England are diagnosed with epilepsy, and people of all ages are affected, from new-borns to the elderly.

People with epilepsy often feel anxious when they're out and about, because they worry people won't know how to help them. Knowing what to do when a seizure occurs can go a long way in minimising the harm done to both the person and those around them.

This year, the Epilepsy Society have launched a new campaign which aims to provide people with the basic tools of seizure first aid that could help save a life.
