ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a little girl born in 2020 with complex health care needs, and need full support with living my everyday life. I live at home with my Mummy, Daddy and two older sisters.
I was born prematurely; and was very ill when I was born. As a result, I have respiratory support needs and a tracheostomy in place, and may need support with oxygen therapy and suctioning.
I am able to eat and drink small amounts orally, but this is not enough to meet my nutritional needs. Therefore, I have a PEG fitted to ensure I have my daily nutritional requirements met. I need support 24/7 which includes full supervision throughout the night (waking nights), and day to provide with the stimulus I need to grow and learn.
I will need full support with my tracheostomy, oxygen, suction, PEG feeding, gastrostomy care, personal care and medication administration. ABOUT YOU Due to my needs, I ideally would like someone with complex care experience with children. I like people who are talkative and fun! I also need my team to be flexible as I require support 24/7. I need a bank worker who can work days and waking nights to cover for my usual staff if they are on holiday or are ill.
